REVELÉ: The bizarre places, the British who adore cookies hide their favorite snacks | Food | Life and StyleThe fearful family and loved ones can find them, one in ten hides them in their socks drawer (nine percent) while seven percent slip them under the bed.
Women do not even let them out of sight, with one in 18 (6 percent) slipping them into their purses hoping to keep them both.
Research, by McVitie's for National Biscuit Day, Reveals the lengths that men and women will avoid sharing their favorite treats.
Seven percent will hide a package in the back of the wardrobe and one in ten will even sleep by them safely in the knowledge that they are Hidden in their bedside table.
The most popular place to keep them from others is at the back of the kitchen cupboard, say a third (31 percent), while we (18 per cent), house mates (6 per cent) and our partner (14 per cent).
Our obsessi
One in 18 (6 percent) hides packs of colleagues so others do not see them, and half of us will plunge into a plate Of cookies within four minutes of a meeting beginning.

Kerry Owens, McVitie's marketing director, said: "The fact that the National Cookie Day exists demonstrates how much we love this sweet, so we wanted to go deeper and deeper to find out more about the British and their biscuits.
"Biscuits are as British as fish and chips, a cup of tea or Sunday roast, and the amount we buy - and the way we eat them - really demonstrates this. "
This year marks the 125th anniversary of the original Digestives of McVitie, first created by Sir Alexander Grant in 1892.
