Baby love: 30 years of Anne Geddes"Babies have no respect for photographers, and rightly so," she jokes.
Geddes is world famous for his adorable images of young children, but in his studio, the baby is still the boss.
"Everything has to revolve around them," she said. "Everything is prepared the day before ... And when I shoot - and I always turn in the morning, because babies tend to be better in the morning - so as soon as they come in, it 's all About them and that is all about parents. "
Geddes has been about this for 30 years, perfecting his craft. Even if you do not recognize his name, you have always seen his work somewhere. It has been published in more than 80 countries. His 1996 book, "Down in the Garden," was a New York Times bestseller and made him a star. Its annual calendar is now in its 26th year.
Nature is a common theme. In a photo, a baby is dressed in a koala costume, sitting inside an accessory designed to resemble a tree. In another, the sleeping babies resemble peas in a pod.
Other pictures take a simpler approach, focusing on a baby's feet or just how small a baby is in the hand of someone ;other.
"Babies are my inspiration because of everything they represent," said Geddes. "They change lives, the moment your baby is born, you are a father or you are a mother, and they create families and bring joy to the world."
Cute And they can be funny and all that kind of thing, but more importantly, they represent the eternal luck of the new human race debuts. "
Looking at the photos of Geddes, You can not just smile. But there is also a serious tone for his work.
In recent years, she has had a chance to make relapses related to causes, whether it is survivors of meningococcal disease or Marche des Dimes Knowledge of premature births. And children in distress in Syria and other war zones have also attracted his attention.
"We all have the responsibility to guide these babies as we grow," she said. "We are all born with a common sensitivity. There is only goodness towards babies, that is what happens to them as their lives grow perhaps terribly wrong or just."
Anne Geddes is a photographer born in Australia based in New York. His last book, "Small World", is available via Taschen. You can follow her on Twitter Facebook and Instagram .
