- The Borowitz Report - Moments after House Republicans voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act on Thursday, millions of Trump supporters celebrated the imminent loss of their health insurance. From one ocean to the other, Americans who voted for Donald J. Trump expressed their jubilation to finally be relieved of the burden of being assured in the event of catastrophic disease.
"Since President Trump was inaugurated, I counted on the days when he withdrew my health insurance," said Carol Foyler, a supporter From Trump to Houston. "Today, I would just like to thank you, Mr. President, for your promise."
Harland Dorrinson, a Trump voter from Tallahassee, Florida, 39, he was "excited to lose my health insurance" "But gave a more cautious note.
"I just hope that the Senate will not come and will return my medical cover," he said. "Right now, it all feels too good to be true."
Most Trump supporters, however, would not let such dark forecasts on the future ruin what for them was a day of unbridled celebration.
"Knowing that Trump could take away my Obamacare makes me feel very optimistic about what it is capable of," said Tracy Klugian of Columbus, Ohio. "I can not wait till he gets rid of my Medicare."
