Hermon and Heroda: twins use style to break the barriers for the deafTheir mission is simple. "We want to tell people around the world that you should accept disability, do not hide it," the twins said in an email interview with CNN.
Growing up in Eritrea, the sisters had a happy childhood and Like many twins, they share a special bond.
Hermon injured his cheek during his mountain bike. Heroda was not even with her, but said that she knew something had happened.
"When my left cheek started to suffer, I knew she was in trouble ... That was the only explanation for my pain," said Heroda.
It took their parents a lot to realize that the girls were deaf.
"We were playing together in our parents' yard, our mother was trying to call our name and we did not hear it at all," said the twins.
Their brother was also deaf, so the family decided to move to the UK to get medical help.

Hermon's interim journey began after making a trip to South America, Heroda grew up when she had a role in a commercial TV.As far as Hermon is concerned, "deaf people can do it like anyone else can."
"We have had (many) barriers through our lives, especially our career, but we are fighting for it. ... We will have to use our deafness and be black women to break these barriers. "
